Fifteen Minute Sky

15 minute sky

The midday sun is warm and the breeze is comfortably pleasant. I sit here on a secluded bench, hidden behind some artfully manicured rhododendron bushes. I hear the faint sound of car motors and faraway conversation while I actively listen to the calming song of birds. I am taking each moment as it is given, not too quickly or too slowly either; just as it should be.

I am enjoying a brief respite from a long and busy workday. I take it all in stride, living in this moment of sun and birdsong.

I close my eyes and smile; a smile of deep contentment and profound appreciation. Spring is here and I am glad just to be alive.

The blue sky smiles back at me before I glance at my clock and sigh.. fifteen minutes pass fast… but the smile never leaves my face and I carry this elation back with me inside.

Life is beautiful!

Wishing you glorious weekend my friends,

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.”
