RAY’S and SUNNY
****Featuring my other cat Sunny who should be famous in her own “write”.***
“If you want to write, if you want to create, you must be the most sublime fool that God ever turned out and sent rambling. You must write every single day of your life. You must read dreadful dumb books and glorious books, and let them wrestle in beautiful fights inside your head, vulgar one moment, brilliant the next. You must lurk in libraries and climb the stacks like ladders to sniff books like perfumes and wear books like hats upon your crazy heads. I wish you a wrestling match with your Creative Muse that will last a lifetime. I wish craziness and foolishness and madness upon you. May you live with hysteria, and out of it make fine stories — science fiction or otherwise. Which finally means, may you be in love every day for the next 20,000 days. And out of that love, remake a world.”
~Ray Bradbury

…Thanks Ray and Sunny…I needed THAT!

Great capture of cat, and I love the quote. We truly must be quite mad to want to write! (My first torti cat was hit by a car, and survived, but she had a permanently stuck out tongue, much like Sunny. Seeing the pic brought back memories of sweet Blaise.)
Hi Janet, perhaps Sunny and Blaise are kindred spirits somehow and one day they’ll meet in the great beyond….tongues waving…WE ARE quite mad you know, well..at least I am, and proudly mad… haha. 🙂
Oh, I am right there with you in the madness, and would not want to be anywhere else!
Thanks my mad friend! 🙂
Reblogged this on ELANA – The Voice of the Future.
Thanks for that Gita! 🙂
Love the first shot with the tongue sticking out…. perhaps it was luck or simple serendipity! Glad you caught it for us to enjoy.
Hey Gunta…it was lucky…I saw her there like that and my camera was handy. She was nice enough to keep the pose for several seconds. Thanks.
That’s a wonderful quote. Sunny is how I imagine the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland! 😉
Hi Cathy, It’s funny you mention that, a few years back Sunny played the Cheshire cat in a local stage production of Alice in Wonderland, but the fame was too much for her and when she couldn’t repeat her past glory, she hit the skids and really hasn’t been the same since. She is in recovery and is trying her hand in commercials. You may see her soon in one for floor wax…. 😉
Your cats are simply amazing! 😉
Hey Cathy…funny again, THEY said the same thing about you! 😉
An amazing ‘shot’ the first one, wonderful… 🙂
I was lucky. Thanks. 🙂
