You are a love like no other

And you send me into fits of delight

Sensual, dark and forbidden

You tempt me with your sharp sweetness

A carnal pleasure that awakens my senses

Just a small taste I promise…

I savor you as slowly as I can

 But I am compelled

To consume all of you

Bit by bit

 SOME CHOCOLATE FACTS

Chocolate contains more than 300 known chemicals. Scientists have been working
on isolating specific chemicals and chemical combinations which may explain some
of the pleasurable effects of consuming chocolate.  Some of the better known chemical ingredients are:

Caffeine, the most well-known but present in only small quantities, Theobromine which is a weak stimulant, and Phenylethylamine which is related to amphetamines and is a strong stimulant.  The combination of these chemicals (and possibly others) may provide the “lift” that chocolate eaters experience.

Chocolate also contains pharmacologically active substances that have the same effect on the brain as marijuana, and that these chemicals may be responsible for certain drug-induced psychoses associated with chocolate craving.
