Green is the color of life and renewal. Green is a sweet burst of tangy spring in all the right places. It is the brilliant hue of the natural world.
Green is hopeful. It is up early and eager to start the day.
Green is tranquil and it is serene. It is the hue of quiet contemplation. It is the most cerebral color, it is the most intelligent of all the colors. It is conducive to rational thought.
Green makes no pretenses about itself. It is the color of confidence in all of its shades and hues from dark velvety forest to a bright and lively Chartreuse.
It is by far the most varied of all the colors; there must be at least a thousand greens in our world.
Green makes the perfect backdrop for other more showier colors. It is not eager for the spotlight, but shine it does.
Green has an understated yet elegant beauty. It is tender yet vigorous with a zesty youthful enthusiasm.
GREEN is the colorful theme of this week’s photo challenge by the daily post

The photos are great, and I like your words even more. Especially “green is the color of confidence….” I never thought of green that way, but of course it is, for green shows itself no matter what the time or situation. It emerges full-fledged into the world, in all it’s varied hues, according to it’s own internal schedule. Very cool idea, Nancy!
Hey Janet: Thanks. You are a dear.

So refreshing. And calming. I love that little waterfall, and can imagine standing there on a hot and humid day letting it cool me down… Everything around here is a bit brown at the moment, but I spent the afternoon spreading evergreen branches over delicate plants for the winter… dark and shiny greens. 😀
Hi Cathy: It is that time of year to protect those delicate little plants… I’m glad you are on the job, I am slacking on my autumn chores outside…here I sit listening to the rain pour and dreaming of a spring that is too far away…
The little waterfall is very cooling in the summer..I liked that pic so much it used to be the wallpaper on my phone for months… 🙂
Dear strawberry,
Very serene green. Your photographs remind me a song I wrote a while back.
I posted it on my blog. I think it sounds green. What do you think?
