An unexpected dusting of white, a sparkling and happy little snow that graced my garden last January, catching the crocus and I by surprise. This frozen whiteness can be a rare event in these parts, so I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics of the occasion.
Now this moment is forever frozen in time…

Great shots of the snow’s transformation of the ordinary. We don’t get much snow either, and everything shuts down at the first snowflake sighting. Snow makes for such a wonderful unplanned holiday.
Thanks Janet. Snow is also a good excuse to cuddle up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. 🙂
Beautiful “dusting of snow”! Love the Kwan Yin. Thank you so much for bingback!
My thanks to you too Amy!
Pretty, and makes me feel quite chilly looking at it. So you don’t normally get snow? By the way – I like your statue. I’ve got a Buddha in my garden too! 😀
Hi Cathy: It rarely snows, mostly if we get anything it is ice. The whole city gets a little crazy when it does snow, two inches shuts down the city, school is out and the news is full of “the story” We are weather wimps here, truth be told. I bet it snows a lot where you are.
I’m glad Buddha graces your garden too, you seem like the type. We have a lot in common Cathy. 🙂
As long as the snow are white it’s amazing jump around in – great idea at the first shot – cute with the yellow and blue/pink flowers, saying ‘never give up’ .. 😉
Hey Drake. Thanks. I love that never give up attitude. 🙂
I remember that snow storm. It was unexpected here, too. I have Sissy prints in the snow from that occasion if I remember right.
Hi Gunta: You remember right. These little snows; we have to take them as we get them before it all melts away.
